In a dramatic twist of events, Grace Chinga’s funeral turned into a carnivore of anger when mourners turned into chanters.
Prophet Bushiri has on Saturday been chanted off by mourners at the musician’s funeral. Prophet Bushiri is being accused of having a hand in the death of Grace Chinga the musician.
Bushiri arrived from South Africa with the usual pomp and an extravagant casket plus money to support at the funeral. But the relatives of the deceased refused to accept anything from the suspected prophet.
They argued that they cannot accept his support because they are very suspicious.
Apparently, Bushiri proceeded to book an expensive Hall in Kwacha, Blantyre against the will of the relatives. Chinga was not a member of the Bushiri church.
Bushiri had been enticing Chinga to be one his crowd puller church musician but she had been refusing. Relatives say after her refusal, the musician started receiving death threats.
The renowned musician died after a very short illness of complaining about headache.
Bushiri is increasingly being feared to be another false prophet with a quest for material glory, power and fame more than spiritual pursuit.
