Lilongwe, August 23, Mana; A Blantyre-based renowned gospel singer, Miracle Chinga whose real name is Miracle Moffat, has released her first album titled ‘Mwapambana,’ Malawi News Agency (MANA) has learnt.

In an interview, Miracle Chinga said the album is meant to give hope and encouragement to those going through various challenges in life. She said God is one to give them victory and abundant success.

God is the miracle working God- Chinga

‘’In life, we all go through afflictions and problems, despite that we should learn to trust and have faith in God who is our strength and hope,’’ Chinga said.

She said she came up with the concept Mwapambana after thinking about what people go through in life, for instance: shame, poverty, pain and hardships. As such she was inspired to produce the album to cheer up those without hope.

The Gospel Musician said people need to have faith in God as they go through miserable situations, knowing there is always victory and redemption to those who rely on the Lord all the time.

“I want to encourage every soul that we are loved by God all the time and we should not fear any evil because the Lord is with us to vindicate and guide us in all aspects of our lives.

‘’So, in every song I am trying to say have faith and hope, and trust in Him. I am reminding my audience that God is the miracle-working God,’’ she stated.

The album, produced by DJ Lobodo at Lobodo Records, has life-changing messages that will give hope and comfort, according to Chinga.

She said Mwapambana is her first album and that in it, she has composed everything by herself.

According to the young gospel female singer, launch of the album will be done when everything is set.

Phalombe, August 30, Mana: A social grouping called Muthukumano wa Alhomwe on Saturday celebrated the life of fallen Artist, Michael Yekha who was well known for his traditional music that hit Malawian airwaves in the 80s.

Yekha’s tombstone

Born on April 28, 1951 as Michael Yekha Mukhito Phiri, the Namawerenga hit maker passed away on March 3, 1988 at the age of 38 after a short illness.

However, his grave site had not been decorated after 31 years of his demise, a thing that prompted the Lhomwe grouping to contribute MK1.2 million towards construction of the tombstone.

Speaking during the Tombstone unveiling ceremony, Taskforce Chairperson, Wilfred Mpisa said Yekha needed to be remembered for many reasons including his contribution to preservation of the Lhomwe culture through music.

“His cunning musical skills continue to entertain people today and in particular keeps the Lhomwe culture alive, something that makes us proud and it was heartbreaking for us to learn that his grave remained abandoned till date, that is why we came up with this idea,” he said.

Some of Yekha’s best sold songs include Khuruwani Muche and Oyimba Muchenjere which won him the entertainers of the year award in 1986.

Michael Yekha’s nephew, Gusto Gundaphiri described the lone artist who played from place to place as a fallen pillar that left a huge gap in their family which was yet to be filled.

Muthukumano members lay a wreath on Yekha’s tombstone

“He was a torch-bearer in the family and his demise affected almost everyone. His leadership was hope for everyone in the family and we had a lot of expectations from him. God loved him the most and we accepted it,” he said.

Muthukumano wa Alhomwe is an affiliate of the Mulhako wa Alhomwe, established on June 1, 2019 and it exists in order to focus on minor activities that seek to preserve the Lhomwe culture at grassroots level.

But now it’s worse considering you take away my kid the only best thing that came out of this beautiful apple outside, but very rotten inside‘ Each passing day am missing my kid’ how evil can one be so heartless to take away the innocent child from love of his father? It can look so easy that other people can say I will be sending help to my kid but father figure is very important in child life.

Off the Wall Of Ghetto King Fredokiss On ‘Pyramids’ Business…Programmed to Reject Success

By Fred Penjani Kalua

You have been programmed to reject Success. All these banks are running legalized financial Schemes..”Pyramids”.

In my view, worse forms of pyramids. All these insurance companies are legalized pyramids. No one regulates the Indian or Asian Pyramids because you can’t see them.

You won’t hear about them. They raise money and capital in their groups and get rich. These Burundi’s are doing the same. The Western world is now using “Bitcoin”/ Kryptocarency. It’s a form of Pyramid.

Differences might be there but not significant ones. Asians come here with nothing but through such schemes they are able to raise capital and grow their Businesses. That’s their “Secret”. No magic involved.

Problem with most indigenous Malawians is that you are so Envious of yourselves. You don’t want to see your own biological brother or sister doing good and financially independent. Mumafila bho akamakupemphani.

You rather disempower yourselves than empower your own. We should stop competing against each other and work as a team.

Do you know how many street kids and orphans are poor and homeless when their parents were all working and their Millions in pensions are unclaimed and being invested by these big Insurance companies? Some not even remmited by their employers. Nza bho bho cz Ndi Company.

It’s in the best interest for certain Individuals and systems for you to be poor and dependent. What most of you don’t know is that being envious of the next person is being envious of yourself.

We are all one. Malawi has gone beyond the point of seeking a political solution, our problem is economical/Financial. We need economic or financial solutions.

Do you remember a time when Banks wanted kuti Ma Bank Nkhonde and Chipeleganya zithe? Ever wondered why? Do you know that people who work in banks do Chipeleganya, Bank Nkhonde and some were in these pyramids too, ever wondered why? Observe kuti those who are against such schemes are either well to do iwowo and they don’t want anyone else around them to be rich too or they can’t afford to be part of such groups. If not these two it’s a bank or financial institution safeguarding their Business interests.

How many of you can get loan ya 3 Million from a bank without Surety? Even Medef needs Surety and political connections. I might be wrong in some of my assertions but I know it’s about that time we deploy different strategies to address poverty in our communities.

Communal approaches to empowering each other in prosperity is Key. There is always a risk to everything. Even the man investing in the Stock Exchange can lose everything or gain Big. BIG RISK. Same with Bitcoin and or Kryptocarency these are risky too.

Ambirinu you have brilliant ideas Koma Capital mulibe. Wake up. The formal financial sector will not create a Million Jobs. Organic ideas will. The formal Financial Sector is not for people with no property to their name.

Pension yawo kuyiona mutha kulira– Chiwamba

Blantyre, October 29, Mana: Renowned Poet, Robert Chiwamba said he is set to release a final spoken word for the year on November 4, 2020 titled “Mayi anga anali mphunzitsi” a sad tale of Malawian teachers.

In an interview on Thursday in Blantyre, he said he was inspired by his childhood and what he and his siblings went through being sons of a teacher, his mother.

“My mom was a retired primary school teacher and looking at the complaints teachers have been advancing of late and remembering the life we led as children of a teacher, I thought of coming up with this 5-minute piece hoping for a change,” Chiwamba explained.

The Poem highlights a retired teacher’s life and it reveals the challenges teachers face and how as a country looked down on teaching as a profession.

He lamented on how most teachers live in pathetic houses as one of the challenges but continue to do their work in shaping other children’s future.

“Nyumba zodontha, zitseko zosakiyika zosamilitsira mipando mayi, Mipandoyo kukhala nayo ankakhala katapila mayi, Koma tsiku ntsiku tinkawaona ndi zochonga zambiri akuchonga mayi.

“Pension yawo kuyiona mutha kulira,” reads part of the poem.

In recent year’s teachers across the country held demonstrations against the government on a number of issues ranging from long standing salary arrears, low salaries and poor working conditions.

This year, Chiwamba has released four poems saying he had saved the energy for his 4th album set to be released next year.

Being his ninth year since the start of his career, Chiwamba said he has released over 150 poems.

He started writing and reciting poems to the public since 2011.

Mayi anga anali mphunzitsi is the fourth poem this year after Mwina ndinu, Anthu amafika potopa and Amuna awo ndi last born.

Chiwamba intends to release his poems on line through sapitwapoetry.com website.

TNM Launches Express Wi-Fi by Facebook at Sand Music Fest

TNM Head of Brand and Communication Louis Chipofya

In a quest to increase high speed internet availability at low cost, TNM Plc has partnered the world’s technology giant Facebook to roll out public access Wi-Fi hotspots in the country.

Powered by Facebook, TNM Express Wi-Fi enables communities to access fast internet connectivity at affordable rates.

The partnership will see more Malawians connected through a number of internet hotspots   commissioned at various points across the country.

“As a local brand we are happy to bring this service in Malawi and to connect more people to the digital world. Through the partnership, TNM is supporting affordable access to the digital global world so that Malawians can be counted as well,” said Michiel Buitelaar, TNM’s Chief Executive Officer.

He said the service offers multiple benefits to Malawians with Wi-Fi enabled smartphones and devices.

“Express Wi-Fi gives more internet options and a better browsing experience for users as any mobile phone user within Wi-Fi coverage of the hotspot is able to connect by buying the special data packs. The service is open to users of other networks without necessarily switching to TNM network,” he said.

Buitelaar said Express Wi-Fi has the potential to drive higher internet usage and hence allow users to do so much more.

“The Introduction of TNM’s Express Wi-Fi resonates with TNM’s commitment to bring innovative digital technologies that connects Malawi to the digital world,” said Buitelaar.

He explained that the service is designed to complement mobile data offerings by providing a low-cost, high bandwidth alternative for getting online and access apps, download and stream content.

Buitelaar said anyone with a Wi-Fi enabled device could access the TNM Express Wi-Fi network by signing up at an Express Wi-Fi hotspot or retailer and purchasing a daily, weekly or monthly data pack.

They will need to register or create an account, login and start browsing. First time users will get a free 100MB of data, according to Buitelaar.

In a separate interview, TNM Head of Band and Communications Louis Chipofya said they will ride on the Sand music Festival to launch the TNM Express Wi-Fi to give people a feel of the product.

“This is fast internet with speeds for up to 20Mbps on Express Wi-Fi, and have a 4G experience on any device, including a 3G device,” said Chipofya.

He also explained that it is a ‘once-off log-in’ saying once a customer logs into TNM Express Wi-Fi for the first time, there is no extra log-in required again, and customers will seamlessly connect once any Express Wi-Fi hotspot is in reach, in different places adding that most platforms require one to log-in every time he or she are within the reach of the Wi-Fi, which is inconvenient.

“Unlike most Wi-Fi platforms which require vouchers to be printed and then loaded after log-in, the Express Wi-Fi platform is able to sale electronic vouchers directly to customers, and these vouchers can be used on any mobile phones, tablets and computers once customers receive them. Vouchers are loaded directly to the customers’ phone number,” explained Chipofya.

He also said the service is accessible by TNM and Non-TNM numbers in Malawi

“There are no restrictions of phone numbers that can access and buy data vouchers for Express Wi-Fi, numbers from other network providers can also log-in and get electronic data vouchers from TNM Express Wi-Fi,” said Chipofya.

TNM is the 9th company to connect with Facebook to offer the express Wifi hotspots in Africa.

Lilongwe, November 4,  Mana: After taking a  10-year  break in the music industry, veteran reggae artist, Moda Fumulani,  the young brother to late Gift Fumulani  is expected to release his second album  titled ‘Respect to Gift Fumulani’ on   November 27,  2020.

Late Gift Fumulani

In an interview with Malawi News Agency (MANA) on Monday, Fumulani said he is back with his second album after 10 years of silence. He has since promised the best for his fans in his new album.

“My album has got 11 trucks, one is a bonus track and all songs are in Chichewa so that every Malawian should get the message.

“I think it is time to break the silence after releasing the first album in 2009 which my brother, Gift, left unfinished. This is one of my greatest albums that have ever been produced.

“I am optimistic my fans will appreciate both the quality and sound of the music,” he said.

Commenting on his absence in the music circles, Fumulani said the music industry is not doing well in the country as they (musicians) spend a lot of money in music production “but returns are peanuts”, which makes most musicians not to develop.

“Another factor that contributed to my absence is financial difficulties. Coming up with an album of good quality is too involving and needs a lot of money,” said Fumulani.

He said he decided to come up with ‘Respect to Gift Fumulani’ album as a narrative of his life journey and spiritual welfare.

The Loto la Falao maker said the Spirit of his late brother lives on in him and that his mission will carry on through him.

“I encourage my fans to take time and listen to the new album. My message to them is they should expect fireworks from the songs,” he said.

The album will be launched on November 27, 2020 in Blantyre Club 27/4 and on November 28 at M1 Centre Point in Lilongwe.

Some of the big artists that will support the launch are the Black Missionaries Band, Antony Makondetsa, Khozi Masimbe and Yanjanani Chumbu, just to mention a few.
