Ruling DPP music group Sendela Sisters best known for their famous songs Sendelani, Apita ndi patali, Menyeleni nkhondo and others have released a hit single ‘Ndilibe pulobulemu’ which also features Wiseman and President Peter Mutharika.

According to sources within the group, the project has been sponsored by Dowa Central parliamentarian for the ruling party, Honorable Jean Kalilani.

The song which starts and ends with the President’s voice was composed and arranged by George Wiseman Gondwe who is also featured in the song recorded at TCI Productions in Area 24 Lilongwe.

In an interview with the composer George Gondwe, he told Malawi Voice that Ndilibe Pulobulemu is a hit which is more biblical as it centers on Romans 8:31 that says “what, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

The first verse of the song carries a message which points out that , if God chooses someone nobody can be against his will and whosever trust in the Lord God fights for him as written on Deuteronomy 3:22 which says “Do not be afraid of them; the LORD your God himself will fight for you.”

In addition, the song continues to say I am not afraid and worried because God is with me hence no problem referring to 2 Samuel 7:9 which says ‘I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have destroyed all your enemies before you. I will make a name for you like that of the greatest in the land.’ This fits well with the Malawi leader who was persecuted, jailed and tortured with the previous PP regime soon after the late President Professor Bingu wa Mutharikas death. Despite all that God made him victorious in the 2014 elections sending the then ruling party to opposition and maintaining the veteran opposition MCP to where they best fit.

The second and third verse reminds people that the solution to Malawi is not politics but development which the DPP leadership is advocating therefore there is need to join hands with the DPP lead Government for the betterment of Malawi. The song continues to say the one who has a problem is the one who wakes up to castigate and hate others without providing solutions to the social-economic problems the country is facing. This is drawn from book of Leviticus 19:17 which says “You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you shall reason frankly with your neighbor, lest you incur sin because of him.

Speaking to the Group Leader Mai Chimbalanga she said they have plans to finish an album once everything is set and promised nothing but the best.
